About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Space Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at GMV. As a key member of our Mission Control Center team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our satellite missions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical subsystems for satellites, ensuring compliance with mission requirements.
  • Model, simulate, and analyze satellite components and structures using advanced design tools.
  • Develop optimized structures to withstand launch and space environment conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize the structural and thermal performance of the satellite.
  • Validate the design through finite element simulations.
  • Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements of the mission.
  • Provide multi-skilled support in tasks such as selecting physical components, defining mission and technical specifications, and managing internal and external interfaces.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in the mechanical and structural design of satellites or in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in advanced modeling and simulation tools such as SOLIDWORKS.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
  • Practical experience with nanosatellite missions, including assembly, integration, testing, and operations.
  • Familiarity with space regulations and standards (ECSS, NASA, etc.).
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with other engineers.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work autonomously and effectively in a potentially international and culturally diverse team.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, as well as a proactive attitude towards individual problem-solving and an interest in technological development.
