R&D Controls Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Controls R&D Engineer to join our Technology Department at Vanderlande. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing our PLC operating systems, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Design, develop, and test our PLC operating systems, including Siemens TIA Portal and Allen Bradley STUDIO 5000.
- Requirements Definition: Define requirements for our systems and develop efficient and effective solutions with the multidisciplinary project team.
- Risk Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze risks, solve problems, and contribute to process improvements.
- Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth integration of our products into systems for our worldwide clients.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology (e.g., Electronics, Mechatronics, or Software related).
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience in material handling or related industry.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of TIA Portal, Studio 5000, and EU and US electrical and safety norms.
- Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience designing automated systems with PLC-controlled systems, including safety designs, motor protection and control, and Industrial Communication and networking.
