Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Engineer to join our Inbox team. As a Front-End Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing Proton's most vital services, including Mail, Calendar, and Contacts. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting high-quality user experiences within our Product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transforming product specifications into technical requirements and lead your team to their successful implementation.
  • Enhancing Proton's software development lifecycle, tools, and code structure for an improved developer experience.
  • Writing clear, concise, and testable code to maintain and elevate the quality of our codebase.
  • Managing the scoping, planning, and execution of new features, technical initiatives, and greenfield projects.
  • Fostering a culture of learning, creativity, and accountability for the best possible work.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional software development using JavaScript ES6+ or TypeScript.
  • 3+ years of experience with React or 2+ similar frameworks, developing performant and reusable components.
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript methodologies and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with best practices for ensuring code quality, including CI/CD.
  • Experience with writing automated tests for your code.
  • A product mindset with a focus on offering the best user experiences.
  • Experience working in a distributed team.
