Job Title: PhD Researcher in 2D Materials and Devices

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD researcher to join our team at ICTAN-CSIC. The successful candidate will work on the thermal and electrical characterization of 2D materials and devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct experiments to characterize the thermal and electrical properties of 2D materials and devices
  • Develop and implement advanced thermometry techniques, such as Time Domain Thermo-Reflectance, Scanning Thermal Microscopy, and thermal Bridge method
  • Explore the thermal properties of electrochemical devices based on 2D materials during operating conditions
  • Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physics or Thermal/Electrical engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of thermal transport, ideally at nano- and micro-scale
  • Experience with experimental laboratory work, particularly in thermal characterization techniques
  • Strong interest and established experience in thermal characterization, especially related to 2D materials
  • Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written
