Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer (Data Engineer 3 - Specialist) to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex problems and making improvements through data and technology. They will be able to apply Agile methodologies in day-to-day activities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommend appropriate alternatives.
- Work on problems of diverse complexity and scope, and may act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities.
- Exercise independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
- Ability to handle most unique situations and make decisions on complex business issues.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
- Proficient in data modeling, data integration, and processing of structured and unstructured data.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python preferred).
- Strong SQL proficiency (experience with NoSQL – an advantage).
- Experienced with Apache Spark / pyspark.
- Excellent communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design, and change proposals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Databricks.
- Pandas.
- Familiarity with best practices of the data and software engineering lifecycle and/or best practices of the above platforms and tools.
- Dataiku DSS.
