About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Lead to join our team at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Gruppe. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading the definition of testing strategies, overseeing project planning, and ensuring timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Testing Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies, milestones, and project plans for software test activities.
  2. Security and Compliance: Demonstrate expertise in identifying, mitigating, and preventing security vulnerabilities within software systems, ensuring adherence to best practices in defensive engineering.
  3. Performance Testing: Lead and oversee performance testing initiatives to ensure systems meet required performance standards under various conditions, examining performance test results and providing actionable insights for performance optimization.
  4. Test Automation: Establish and support test automation strategies for the software test team, developing, implementing, and maintaining robust automation testing frameworks.
  5. Integration and System Testing: Coordinate and conduct comprehensive integration testing to verify the seamless interaction of integrated components, ensuring system interfaces and interactions meet specified requirements and function correctly within the overall system architecture.
  6. Experimentation and Analysis: Collaborate with teams to design and execute experiments to test hypothesis-related project outcomes, extracting the full relevance of technical observations.
  7. Test Quality and Process Improvement: Assure test quality through sound test design, test depth, and system engineering standards, reviewing test team results and outcomes, providing relevant feedback, and performing acceptance of team deliverables.
  8. Communication and Leadership: Develop and maintain internal and external contacts to expand technical knowledge, engage in cross-functional team participation and leadership, and utilize various techniques and methods to provide process and product training to others.
  9. Presentation and Coaching: Present test concepts, test plans, and test results both internally and externally, reviewing and coaching presentations for others.
  10. Quality and Process Management: Monitor work to ensure quality, continuously promoting Quality First Time, and performing other duties as assigned by management.

  1. Technical Expertise: Demonstrates technical proficiency, creativity, and collaboration with others, with expert knowledge and application of engineering standards and concepts.
  2. Leadership and Communication: Seen as an emerging leader in their field through performance and accomplishments, with strong communication skills and ability to organize and multitask effectively.
  3. Industry Knowledge and Best Practices: Understands and applies industry best practices and benchmarks for SW integration and tests at an expert level, increasing product quality and team efficiency through new, enhanced, or improved development and testing practices.
  4. Information Security and Data Privacy: Understands Information Security and Data Privacy fundamentals.
