Store Operations Manager

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Operations Manager to join our Store Leadership Team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective operation of our retail stores, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction: Provide guidance and support to store staff, including supervisors and associates, to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Employee Development: Assist in the interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching of store staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Store Operations: Execute plans to enhance employee productivity and performance, maintain accurate inventory levels, and ensure effective replenishment and organization of store merchandise.
- Customer Service: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers receive a positive and memorable experience in our stores.
- Store Performance: Assist in the development and implementation of action plans to address any issues relating to store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a retail or related field.
- Skills: Ability to operate a Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, with the ability to exchange ideas and information with store leadership team, associates, and customers.
- Physical Demands: Frequently in a more active environment, requiring the ability to constantly move about, and may involve physical or strenuous activity, including lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.
