Our Team
The Natural Language Processing for Biomedical Information Analysis (NLP4BIA) group at BSC is a renowned research team working on the development of NLP, language technology, and text-mining solutions applied primarily to biomedical and clinical data. We are a highly interdisciplinary team, funded through competitive European and National projects requiring the implementation of natural language processing and advanced AI solutions.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Researcher Data Science and AI Expert for Clinical NLP and Language Models to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in technical work related to international projects, working on topics related to multilingual information extraction in the clinical field, including Named-Entity Recognition, Entity Linking, and Language Modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced NLP and AI solutions for clinical data analysis
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to implement and integrate NLP and AI technologies into our projects
- Contribute to the development of new research ideas and proposals
- Participate in the design and implementation of experiments and evaluations
- Communicate research results and findings through publications and presentations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong background in NLP, AI, and machine learning
- Experience with deep learning frameworks and libraries
- Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python or Java
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
