This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned and client-oriented electrical engineer to become a pivotal member of our critical systems division. You will play a crucial role in the effective execution of groundbreaking electrical design solutions for some of the most significant and expansive data center initiatives globally.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our critical systems division, you will collaborate with professionals from various engineering disciplines to ensure the successful management and delivery of technically proficient and financially viable projects.
Your involvement will be integral to the design process and the generation of design outputs, overseeing your team of engineers. You will be responsible for monitoring project budgets and timelines, reviewing designs, and maintaining communication with the broader project and client teams.
Utilizing your expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment, you will manage, motivate, and inspire your colleagues, including mentoring less experienced engineers.
Additionally, you will receive support from senior personnel within the team.
Required Qualifications
With a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Chartered Electrical Engineer status (CEng), you possess substantial experience in an Electrical Engineering capacity, preferably within a data center or critical systems environment (including electrical distribution and power generation systems).
You have demonstrated experience in detailed coordination with other design disciplines and possess a strong understanding of electrical theory and relevant design software. Your role will also involve supporting junior engineers and CAD technicians.
You are skilled in producing schematic diagrams, conducting fault and discrimination studies, preparing specifications and project documentation, performing site inspections and surveys, and developing detailed designs. Importantly, you have a strong passion for the precise design of electrical systems.
Given the collaborative and client-centric nature of this position, exceptional communication skills and the ability to use your initiative to navigate challenges are essential.
