- Draft comprehensive software specification documents.
- Design and conceptualize functional system specifications for both new and existing turbine models.
- Serve as a liaison between mechanical/electrical teams and software developers.
- Architect software solutions for effective control execution within a PLC environment.
- Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate innovative ideas.
- Examine field data to determine optimized functionalities.
- Establish acceptance criteria for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and field testing.
- Support the wind turbine control process throughout its lifecycle.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in abstract and modular thinking along with PLC programming skills.
- Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink is advantageous.
- Experience in agile software development methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as SVN or Git.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols including Profinet, CAN, Modbus TCP, and OPC-UA.
- Experience in the wind energy sector is a plus.
- Results-driven with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German or Spanish is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in an international team environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
