We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer for Power Generation to join our team at Cummins Inc. in San Fernando de Henares, Madrid.
This is a permanent contract with a hybrid work model, offering a competitive salary based on skills and experience. English language proficiency is required, and travel is expected to be around 50% of the time, mainly within Spain.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Specialist: Diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at customer sites, providing primary customer support.
- Customer Relations: Establish and develop productive customer relationships, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance activities on power generation products in the field, adhering to documented procedures and policies.
- Issue Escalation: Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisors, ensuring timely resolution.
- Knowledge Sharing: Coach and develop technicians and/or apprentices, transferring knowledge and experience to others.
- Documentation: Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents.
- Training and Development: Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any issues or incidents to site management and supervisors.
- Vocational Diploma: Hold a vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
- Apprentice Certification: Possess an apprentice certified power generation/electrical technician certification (preferred).
- Field Service Experience: Have significant field service work experience.
- Power Generation Expertise: Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
- High Voltage/Low Voltage Experience: Have experience with high voltage/low voltage systems.
- Customer Service: Possess customer service experience.
- Technical Coaching: Have experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred).
- Commission and Test Genset: Be able to commission and test gensets at customer sites and suppliers.
- Locally Valid Driving Permit: Possess a locally valid driving permit.
- English Language Proficiency: Have an intermediate-high level of English language proficiency.
