Genetics Research and Development Specialist

**About the Role**
We are seeking an exceptional Genetics Research and Development Specialist to join our team at Vitrolife Group. As a Carrier and Infertility Genetics Researcher, you will play a crucial role in unlocking the full potential of science and technology to reduce the barriers towards building a family.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze clinical data for the validation of Next Generation Sequencing tests.
- Interpret variants using public and professional tools (gnomAD, HGMD, ClinVar).
- Provide oversight for quality control and quality assurance, including setting quality standards for new product developments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, SOPs, practice, and professional guidelines regarding genetic test development and data curation.
- Stay informed with the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with teammates and technical partners.
- Communicate technical ideas and direction across the organization with a focus on problem-solving.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or equivalent life sciences.
- Master's degree or PhD in Human Genetics and/or Molecular Biology is an asset.
- Knowledge of Human Genetics concepts and terminology.
- Expertise in a variety of molecular biology technologies.
- Knowledge of Bioinformatics concepts and terminology, including R and/or Python programming skills.
- Experience in Linux, development of scripts, and advanced use of the command line.
- Familiarity with software engineering and algorithms.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and attention to detail.
- Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) and data analysis.
- Self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment.
- High level of spoken and written English (B2 or higher).
