About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Irish Gaelic Linguist to join our team at Welocalize. As a key member of our localization team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our clients' content in Irish Gaelic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control tasks on assigned accounts/projects to ensure high-quality translations and adherence to client specifications.
  • Conduct on-demand translation tasks in Irish Gaelic, utilizing your expertise to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure the Language Process is followed, and quality standards are met.
  • Manage and maintain language materials, including glossaries and style guides, to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide lead support on assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and train internal linguists and freelancers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Interact with clients on linguistic matters, providing expert advice and guidance.
Requirements
  • University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in translation/localization, with a focus on Irish Gaelic.
  • Native fluency in Irish Gaelic and English.
  • Thorough understanding of the localization process and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to learn new localization tools and applications quickly.
