We are seeking a highly skilled Gaelic Linguist to join our team at Welocalize, a leading provider of global content transformation services. As a Gaelic Linguist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our clients' content in the Gaelic language.

• Perform quality control tasks on assigned accounts/projects to ensure high-quality Gaelic translations and adaptations.
• Conduct on-demand translation tasks on assigned projects/accounts, meeting tight deadlines and quality standards.
• Perform linguistic adaptation tasks into English (en-GB) for various clients.
• Lead support on assigned projects/accounts, providing expert guidance and ensuring seamless project execution.
• Manage and maintain language materials, including glossaries, style guides, and work instructions, to ensure consistency and quality.
• Respond to project-related queries and ensure effective communication among team members.
• Test and qualify new freelancers and vendors as required, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
• Develop and train internal linguists and freelancers on new processes and best practices.
• Interact with clients on linguistic matters, providing expert advice and support.
• Participate in the development of new and improved working processes to enhance our services.

• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in translation/localization, with a focus on Gaelic languages.
• Native fluency in Gaelic and English.
• Thorough understanding of the localization process and its complexities.
• Excellent user experience with standard software, such as Windows and Office applications.
• Good user experience with CAT tools, such as XTM, SDL Studio, and issue tracking/query management tools, such as JIRA.
• Ability to learn new localization tools and applications quickly.
