About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at Gaming Innovation Group. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in our current practices and design automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and drive forward new technologies, tools, or frameworks to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.
  • Technical Leadership: Collaborate with Solution Architects and DevOps teams to define standards and best practices for operational teams.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and collaborate with team members to set clear and tangible requirements for success.
  • Observability: Hold SRE practices at heart and believe in the importance of good observability practices for proactive problem detection.
Requirements
  • Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of operational and containerization principles, with a proven track record of designing and delivering reliable and resilient platforms.
  • Senior DevOps Experience: Previous technical experience in a senior DevOps role.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of container platforms, CI/CD toolchains, infrastructure as code, and cryptography.
  • Linux Knowledge: Solid Linux knowledge, including filesystems, day-to-day administration, and scripting.
  • Networking Concepts: Grasp of networking concepts, including TCP/IP layers, load balancers, and firewalling.
  • SaaS Experience: Experience building, deploying, maintaining, and operating SaaS products in a cost-effective manner.
  • Software Development Ecosystem: Sound understanding of the software development ecosystem, including Git, automated testing, and scrum methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to articulate technical documentation and design architecture blueprints.
  • Emerging Technologies: Ability to understand and capture value in emerging technologies through research.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and share knowledge.
