About the Role

The Director of Digital Transformation and Relationship Management will lead the relationship with the Amadeus Business and Functional Units and own its Digitalization and Automation portfolio in Digital & Transformation Services (DTS). This individual will establish a vision, strategy, tactics, and capabilities for digital transformation, working as a catalyst to execute the digitalization strategy through the implementation of transformational initiatives with high impact across business units, functions, and regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Definition and Digitalization Governance: Define and arbitrate the Digitalization & Automation pipeline, aligning investments, funding, and initiatives to business strategy and priorities, and to DTS technology roadmap.
  • Portfolio Management: Build the Digitalization portfolio, define, implement, and manage business and DTS roles leveraging Lean Portfolio Management, integrate technology needs and requirements in alignment with business strategic directions, and cascade down the commonly agreed portfolio within the relevant organizations.
  • Business Case Development: Create compelling business cases that clearly state business impact/value and process changes from system deployments.
  • Opportunity Assessment and Project Preparation: Be accountable for opportunity assessments, secure approval, capacity, and budget required to start pre-project, drive Project Preparation Plan (PPP), and produce required deliverables according to the existing framework.
  • Collaboration and Portfolio Adjustment: Propose, evangelize, collect, and qualify new DTS collaboration opportunities with business partners and drive the adjustment of DTS Portfolio based on agreed priorities.
About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in corporate-wide Business Transformation, in Amadeus or other industries/companies. They will have a strong track record in digitalization evolving Business/Functional Units operating model (process, people, data, systems) on a global scale, and leveraging technology as an enabler of transformation.

  • Experience in implementing and/or transforming Marketing, Commercial, Delivery, and Back-office (Finance, Human Resources...) processes and systems.
  • Strong industry and/or business acumen, including process, data, and technical points of view.
  • Strategy consulting background, P&L, or Marketing/Commercial responsibilities is a plus.
  • Significant work experience in highly decentralized organizations with strong business units.
  • Strong experience in business case elaboration and value realization.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and propose mitigation actions consolidating all points of view among stakeholders.
  • Experience leading international teams.
