Mitiga Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our climate risk assessment team, you will be responsible for developing and refining our flood models to provide accurate and actionable insights to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Take ownership of Mitiga's flood models, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define the development roadmap for our flooding products.
- Model Development: Lead the development efforts to improve and validate our in-house flood models, ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
- Dataset Integration: Lead the exploration and evaluation of third-party datasets to complement our current offering, particularly in the area of pluvial flooding.
- Technical Integration: Oversee the technical integration of third-party datasets into our current technology stack.
- Impact Analysis: Advise our Impact team on the incorporation of flood risk into our ratings and impact calculations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of climate-related perils.
- Expertise and Support: Serve as the go-to expert for questions about flooding within the company and with our clients, providing clear and concise guidance on complex technical topics.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience: Including at least 2 years of industry experience applying flood modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of flood modeling principles and their application in flood risk assessments.
- Climate Change Impact: Demonstrate a strong understanding of how climate change factors can influence flood risk.
- Proven Delivery: Have a proven track record of successfully delivering flood risk analyses to clients, ensuring clear and actionable insights.
- Hands-on Approach: Be prepared to actively participate in the modeling process, contributing alongside our close-knit team.
- Data-Driven Approach: Possess a strong analytical mind and utilize data effectively to inform decision-making.
- Effective Communication: Have excellent stakeholder communication skills, enabling you to translate complex technical information into clear and concise messaging for diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate the ability to navigate ambiguous project requirements and develop clear solutions that drive the project forward.
