We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Payment Operations Specialist to join our team at Tryjeeves. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our payment and card-related processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Management: Lead multiple stakeholders through complex projects, leveraging expert project management, communication skills, and techniques to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Vendor Management: Plan, direct, organize, and control payment operations and related vendor management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage risk within areas of responsibility, implementing risk mitigation solutions in collaboration with the tech and product team.
- Compliance: Ensure card scheme regulations and policies are in compliance with our company to maintain good behavior in our processes.
- Problem Resolution: Responsible for root-cause problem resolution for key back-office operational problems and incidents.
- Process Improvement: Assist in making recommendations for appropriate changes to improve user experience, reduce processing expenses, and implement efficiencies in servicing the payments experience.
- Operational Planning: Provide operational planning and support to the Product team during implementations and onboarding projects.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor acceptance rate and payments OKRs to ensure optimal performance.
- Process Optimization: Identify vulnerable gaps in process to troubleshoot and optimize processes of continuous improvement of cards.
- Process Review: Review the authorization process and card manufacturing delivery process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; ideally advanced/fluent in Spanish and Portuguese as well.
- Experience: 4+ years experience in designing and managing processes to meet all payment regulatory, network, and compliance requirements.
- Card Processing Expertise: 4+ years experience in the card/plastic issuer side and card process, in standards, design, and quality.
- Vendor Relationships: Knowledge and relationship with third-party providers to assure contractual compliance.
- Card Scheme Implementations: Experience in card scheme implementations, processes, tools, and procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Experience in searching and finding information to troubleshoot.
- Adaptability: Agile and able to pivot quickly with the changing environment.
- Teamwork: Collaborative and team-oriented.
