About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. in Spain. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the implementation and management of Amazon's safety programs and standards with the entire project team
  • Manage multiple mid and large-sized projects simultaneously
  • Ensure that the skills and competencies of contract labour are appropriate to undertake the work
  • Operate independently in the assigned region, interacting with leadership and stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Act as an Amazon internal construction specialist, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Construction for the TES Team
  • Comprehensively forecast the project budget and schedule and advise Amazon stakeholders on the impact of timing, cost, and permitting changes
  • Identify and solve for factors that may impede a successful project hand-over to Amazon stakeholders
  • Interface and coordinate with local authorities that have jurisdiction (AHJ) on the project to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Comprehensive and timely communication with all internal and external stakeholders

Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or comparable field
  • Fluency in Spanish language
  • Experienced as an Engineer, Construction Manager, and other Construction related disciplines one or more EU countries
  • Experience operating within at least two disciplines within the construction industry, which could consist of General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, or Engineering & Design, or similar
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience negotiating construction, procurement and labor contracts
