Senior Laboratory Technician

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona, Spain. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superior Laboratory Technician to join our team in the Childhood Liver Oncology Group (cLOG) led by Dr. Armengol.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate sample collection and assess biomarkers in biological samples from patients with liver cancer.
- Work with highly-valuable and unique biological material from patients with liver cancer included in the European biorepository.
- Identify and validate diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers, as well as novel therapeutic targets for aggressive tumours.
- Collaborate with the research team to develop and implement new laboratory techniques and protocols.
- High experience in human sample handling and processing, including making FFPE slides, HE staining, cryosections, and macrodisection.
- Experience in RNA, DNA, and protein extraction from tissue samples.
- Knowledge of database management, preferably with PowerBI.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
