Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Landfill Gas Technician to join our team at Valencia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and effective monitoring and balancing of gas collection systems (GCS) to optimize our landfill gas resource for regulatory compliance and commercial benefit through power generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake routine maintenance and troubleshooting of landfill gas power generation and control equipment.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in landfill gas operations or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of landfill gas power generation and control equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic IT literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
