Job Summary:
As a Community Living Instructor, you will provide essential instruction and support to participants, empowering them to maintain their independence and safety in the community. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services and promoting participant-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement program curricula and deliver individual and group learning experiences to support participants in achieving their Individualized Plan of Care (IPP) objectives.
- Maintain accurate data on participant progress and participate in assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.
- Prepare teaching materials for Independent Living Skills Training and Support Service sessions, and schedule participant sessions according to their Individual Service Plan.
- Provide training and support in areas such as money management, nutrition, cooking, comparison shopping, emergency procedures, community education, medical procedures, counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Coordinate participant training programs with other services and benefit systems, such as Social Security, AFDC, WIC, Food Stamps, counseling, and Planned Parenthood.
- Understand and convey the participant-centered philosophy of A Bright Future, Inc. in interactions with participants and other agencies.
