As a key member of the European Transportation team, the Transport Operations Manager plays a crucial role in optimizing the transportation network for Amazon. This involves ensuring the cost-effective and reliable connection of Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and line haul connections to all Direct Injection carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Team leaders and Specialists to manage loads efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize advanced computer literacy to analyze data through tools, portals, and reports, and implement solution-driven approaches to systems and processes.
- Extract and analyze data from various databases to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
- Develop and track performance metrics to drive business results.
- Escalate problems or variances in information and data to relevant owners and teams, and ensure timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with Amazon technology teams to scope out business and functional requirements for software systems and tools used by Relay Operations Center (ROC).
- Communicate with Carriers and internal customers (Planning, Fulfillment Centers).
- Provide real-time customer experience by managing a 24×7 operating environment.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders and Senior Leadership to develop and manage change.

Requirements
- A university degree.
- Relevant experience in operations/supply chain/logistics/e-commerce and transportation.
- Relevant experience in project management.
- Relevant experience of direct management experience for employees and their performance.
- Relevant experience in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps).
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership.
