Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Alight. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes and providing exceptional support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Support the operational teams to ensure they are skilled and knowledgeable in meeting our client deadlines.
- Work with Management to provide the best service to our clients by delivering functional and technical expertise support.
- Provide daily functional support to the teams to support the successful delivery of payrolls.
- Maintain the Client Solution workbook and ensure it is up-to-date.
- Update, maintain, and enforce Defined Work Instructions (DWIs) and other process documentation.
- Ensure and Sign Off System Maintenance Testing.
- Support the review of the Statement of Works before it's shared with the Client to ensure it's fit for purpose.
- Resolve Technical/Functional issues escalated from the team and ensure all system issues/defects are reported correctly and tickets are logged with the necessary details and evidences.
- Work with Operational Management, Transformation, and Products to implement automation, innovation, and continuous improvement programs.
- Manage the legislation roadmap and ensure the team is upskilled in upcoming changes and processes are updated where needed.
- Support Year End activities.
- Recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information.
- Identify upsell opportunities.
- Support Management with the resolution of client escalations and lessons learnt.
- Upskill and develop team members through training delivery and coaching.
- Adhere to Strada Security Standards.
- Complete Time Recording accurately and on time.
- Contribute to team meetings and raise any issues immediately to your Operations Manager.
- Stay up-to-date with all Strada HR announcements and communications.
- Build good relationships with all lines of businesses where appropriate.
- Participate in projects and activities as needed and assigned.
- Adhere to all Security and Compliance procedures.
- Attain 100% of customer SLA agreements.
- Adhere to quality standards.
- Achieve adoption of innovation initiatives.
- Reduce client escalations through knowledge transfer to both the client and payroll team.
- Demonstrate professionalism and act responsibly.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong background in payroll administration. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, practices, and associated legislation.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to support a global and fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Self-motivated and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field such as Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, the candidate should have 3-4 years of relevant experience administering payroll in an HR consulting, HR Outsourcing, or Corporate environment.
