Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Operations Leader, you will be instrumental in driving the success and development of our production facility. Your role encompasses overseeing all operational aspects, implementing industry-leading practices, and motivating your team to reach new heights of performance and excellence. The achievements of your team directly reflect your leadership and vision.Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Commitment: Ensure the safety of all personnel on-site and monitor safety performance metrics, focusing on both proactive and reactive KPIs.
- Operational Oversight: Manage daily production activities with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and productivity. Utilize integrated systems and automation tools to enhance operational processes, including maintenance strategies.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior management to establish a clear operational vision for the facility, outlining necessary investments and strategic plans to achieve operational excellence.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of ongoing enhancement by identifying opportunities for optimization, leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and encouraging input from team members.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Integrate environmentally responsible practices into operations, focusing on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain quality management systems to ensure products meet regulatory standards and service level agreements, consistently achieving high customer satisfaction.
- Performance Management: Oversee the plant budget using activity-based cost management techniques for effective resource allocation and capital expenditure planning. Regularly assess performance metrics to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of production supervisors and staff, fostering a collaborative environment and working closely with the operations management team.
- Strong commitment to safety and awareness of the safety of others.
- Proven operational experience in managing a manufacturing facility.
- Understanding of quality control processes and customer service standards.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with engineers, operators, and management.
- Willingness to engage with plant operations regularly.
- Strategic decision-making capabilities.
- Operational flexibility and adaptability.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
- Experience in the food or feed industry is advantageous.
