In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and management of legal affairs for commercial activity across Europe, the UK, India, and other areas around the globe.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Business Support: Provide legal support to commercial business initiatives and collaborate with the business development team to carry out their activities. This includes negotiating and advising on letters of engagement, confidentiality agreements, requests for proposals, and due diligence inquiries with/from companies seeking to engage Mygwork to assign credit ratings.
- Rating Feed Agreements and Data Services: Negotiate and advise on rating feed agreements and website subscriptions, and support the data products team in carrying out their activities.
- Non-Reliance and Hold Harmless Letters: Review, negotiate, and advise on non-reliance and hold harmless letters from accounting firms and others providing reports in the credit analytical function, and support the credit analytics teams in relation to this.
- Commercial Contracts: Negotiate, draft, and review Morningstar DBRS commercial contracts related to data service providers, sponsorship agreements, procurement contracts, and other agreements.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Work closely with the Compliance team, the Regulatory team, the Marketing and Communications team, and the People and Culture team to ensure that Mygwork is properly managing legal compliance and regulatory responsibilities, as well as ensuring commercial practicality and protecting the organization's reputation.
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced legal professional who can operate at a strategic level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial law and regulatory requirements, as well as excellent negotiation and communication skills.
