Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Mahle. As a key member of our mechanical development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing automotive projects from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for automotive applications
- Conduct 3D modeling and simulation using tools such as Ansys and Solidworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical design into overall product development
- Perform GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure design integrity
- Develop and implement theoretical calculations, CFD/FEA simulations, and testing to validate design performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience with FEA and CFD simulations, as well as design tools such as Ansys and Solidworks
- Knowledge of physics, mechanics, materials science, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and chemistry
- Experience with industrial processes and electronics testing and development lab work
- Fluent in English; Spanish and German language skills a plus
