Job Summary

Ansys is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Senior Application Engineer to join our Customer Excellence team. As a key member of our team, you will partner with our customers to engineer innovative solutions, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys' business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide exceptional technical support to customers.
  • Take ownership of customer problems and proactively engage with selected accounts to provide comprehensive electromagnetic solutions.
  • Contribute to the delivery of professional services for projects, including collaborative work with other application engineers.
  • Create and collaborate on scripting solutions to enable better customer workflows.
  • Familiarity with high frequency concepts, including S-parameters, wave propagation, insertion/return.
  • Familiarity with signal and power Integrity simulation analysis.
  • Familiarity with package, printed circuit boards, and connector design processes and EDA Tools.

Requirements

  • BS or MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • MS+6 or PhD+3 years of professional experience in an engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Knowledge in board manufacturing and layout design of electronic printed circuit board.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in writing and speaking Spanish and English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple complex projects across geographically diverse locations.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS+8 or PhD+5 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.
  • 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services.
  • Basic understanding of OOP (Python) and Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of virtual compliance of SERDES and/or DDR memory.
  • Familiarity with commercial simulation tools such as SIwave, HFSS, or Keysight ADS.
