About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate, Valuation and Financial Modeling to join our team at Reconocida empresa. As a key member of our Onshore Renewables development functions, you will play a critical role in preparing and managing project-level financial models for valuation, risk assessment, and cash flow evaluation purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Modeling and Valuation: Prepare and manage project-level financial models for valuation, risk assessment, and cash flow evaluation purposes.
  2. Model Review and Stress Testing: Review and stress test financial models prepared by third parties and advisors.
  3. Project Coordination: Work with internal teams and various external technical consultants to source inputs required for modeling wind, solar, and battery storage projects on a global scale.
  4. Due Diligence Coordination: Assist in the coordination of due diligence, including preparing questions for company management and external advisors, reviewing documentation, researching industry information, supporting the coordination of internal and external terms, and summarizing results.
  5. Investment Memorandums and Presentations: Write investment memorandums and prepare presentations summarizing key findings from internal and external sources.
  6. Financial Analysis and Recommendations: Translate financial analysis into concise recommendations.
  7. Energy Market Analysis: Prepare analysis of energy market fundamentals across various jurisdictions.
Requirements
  1. Proven Experience: 2+ years of investment banking, private equity, management consulting, project finance, or other transaction-related experience, preferably with a background in power and renewable, or infrastructure.
  2. Education: Business undergraduate degree (Economics or Finance) or related field, with exceptional academic results. Masters of Finance, CFA, CPA, or other advanced designation considered an asset.
  3. Technical Skills: Experience valuing corporate or project-level acquisition opportunities as well as creating and reviewing detailed cash flow and three-statement financial models. Experience developing financial models for wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Understanding of how to model and size Tax Equity is considered an asset.
  4. Language Skills: Fluent English and Spanish are required, additional languages are an asset.
  5. Travel Requirements: Availability for frequent travel to Canada, United States, and across Europe is required.
