Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Al Jord Lab. The successful candidate will contribute to our research on the relationship between mechanical forces and nuclear RNA-processing organelles (biomolecular condensates) in health and disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate how cytoskeletal forces impact nuclear dynamics across scales, from organelle remodeling down to RNA-processing regulation.
  • Explore the physical link between cytoskeletal forces and somatic cell division and specialization.
  • Develop and apply interdisciplinary approaches, including systems, cell, molecular, and synthetic biology, as well as computational and biophysical tools.
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
Requirements
  • PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology, Oncology, or Biophysics.
  • Lab experience with mammalian cell culture and common techniques in Cell & Molecular biology.
  • Experience with advanced imaging and image analyses.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Advanced MS Office and Prism experience.
  • Skilled with image and data analyses software.
