Job Summary
Catenon is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team in France. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier relationships
- Lead procurement strategies for the suppliers' panel, ensuring effective negotiation and contract management
- Develop and manage category knowledge, process optimization, and total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization
- Report to the Procurement Manager France & Iberia, providing regular updates on category performance and progress
- Support business development activities and cross-functional projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive growth and innovation
- Establish and maintain purchasing standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Initiate and lead regional sourcing processes, identifying and evaluating new suppliers to meet business needs
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals, developing and managing procurement contracts and agreements
- Provide support to plant project teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Manage and resolve supplier-plant issues, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers
- Create and centralize a database for procurement category, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or Supply Chain
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position in the industrial sector
- Fluent in English, French, and Spanish
- Proficient in Office
- Willingness to travel in France, Spain, and Portugal (30-40%)
- Excellent soft skills, business intelligence, and work ethics
- Ability to work with self-responsibility and influential capabilities
- Hands-on doer with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Open-minded, autonomous, and structured
- Negotiation skills, results orientation, problem-solving skills, project management, and interpersonal skills
