Senior QA Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a key member of our cross-functional product team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and function of our web applications.

The ideal candidate will bring a substantial depth of knowledge in Test Automation technologies, including JavaScript and Playwright. You will be responsible for automating tests, enhancing our existing Datamaran E2E Test framework, and mentoring junior engineers on Test Automation best practices.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will work closely with developers to test new features manually and automate tests. You will also develop performance tests for scalable applications and contribute to product discovery phases, bringing valuable insights regarding user needs and potential solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Automate tests and enhance the existing Datamaran E2E Test framework.
  • Work closely with developers in the Scrum team members to test new features manually and automate the tests.
  • Develop performance tests for scalable applications.
  • Mentor testers on Test Automation best practices and industry-standard engineering practices.
  • Build and automate test cases.
  • Collaborate on the design and architecture of the automation framework.
  • Stay informed of the latest industry standards and technologies, actively applying these to improve our products.
  • Contribute to product discovery phases, and bring invaluable insights regarding user needs and potential solutions.

Tech Stack:

We are using Playwright as a framework for Automation, with JavaScript as the language. Our web application is built on Node.js, JavaScript, and Vue.js. Our data stores include MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Search. Our server-side and data pipelines are built in Python and FastAPI. Everything is hosted on AWS, on EC2, or in Lambda functions.


Key Skills/Requirements:

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with over 5 years of professional QA experience across several projects, focusing on JavaScript and Playwright. You should have a strong understanding of Test Automation technologies and be able to mentor junior engineers on best practices.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality products and contributing to our company's mission to positively impact the world by helping corporations to have a robust sustainability strategy with our SaaS platform.
