About the Role
Cundall is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our Sustainability & Building Physics team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing energy and sustainability strategies for new build and existing buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and develop our key work streams, including building physics and parametric model services, design for performance, predictive energy modelling and operational energy assessments (TM54 and DfP), planning and building regulations, health and wellbeing advice and guidance, net zero and whole life carbon services, sustainability design and ESG services, and LEED – BREEAM and WELL Certification schemes.
- Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality projects and provide expert advice to clients.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of building physics, energy efficiency, and sustainability principles.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
- Educated to Masters level in Engineering with relevant practical experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly in relation to heat transfer, energy, comfort criteria, CIBSE Guidance and other industry standards.
- In-depth knowledge of dynamic simulation software and the UK Building Regulations, including a complete understanding of the National Calculation Methodology.
- Good understanding of mechanical design.
- Appreciation of coding or a modern programming language.
- Effective communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges.
