About the Role

Cundall, a pioneering engineering consultant, is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Senior Sustainability Expert to join its esteemed Sustainability & Building Physics team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's mission to provide a pathway to net-zero-carbon for all buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement energy and sustainability strategies for new build and existing buildings, working under the guidance of experienced staff.
  • Assist in the development of building physics and parametric model services, design for performance, predictive energy modelling, and operational energy assessments.
  • Support and develop key work streams, including building physics, parametric model services, design for performance, and net zero and whole life carbon services.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Masters-level education in Engineering, with relevant practical experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of building physics, particularly in relation to heat transfer, energy, comfort criteria, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in dynamic simulation software and the UK Building Regulations, including a complete understanding of the National Calculation Methodology.
  • Good understanding of mechanical design and appreciation of coding or a modern programming language.
  • Effective communication skills and experience of using initiative to overcome challenges.
