Job Description

We are seeking a Linear Infrastructures Design Engineer with experience in rail geometric design to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. Our clients are from the private and public sector, including long-term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities and Design and Build commissions for major Contractors. Our office has a proven track record of successfully delivering railway designs for years, across the USA, Australia, Canada, and the Middle East.

Responsibilities
  • Work independently on small projects or portions of larger projects, supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to linear infrastructures.
  • Prepare design calculations or reports related to railway elements (geometric design).
  • Perform railway engineering work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.
  • Prepare project deliverables reviewed by senior team members.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record of working on railway designs (+4 years).
  • Experience with international regulations and standards (e.g., AASTHO; AREMA; Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.
  • Advanced level in geometric design and 3D modeling using Bentley Open Roads/Open Rail Designer software, PowerRail Track, Civil3D, or CAD software (preferably AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
  • Experience working in the North America region/Australia will be considered favorably.
