Job Title: Railway Engineer

At AECOM, we're seeking a skilled Railway Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Linear Infrastructures team, you'll work on a wide range of projects, from feasibility studies to detailed designs, for clients in the private and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work independently on small projects or portions of larger projects, preparing design calculations and reports related to railway elements.
  • Perform railway engineering work in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules, with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct self-checks of work products and participate in quality control reviews of documentation.
  • Prepare project deliverables for review by senior team members.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of working on railway designs, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Experience with international regulations and standards, such as AASTHO, AREMA, and British Standards.
  • Advanced level in geometric design and 3D modeling using software like Bentley Open Roads, PowerRail Track, and Civil3D.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Experience working in the North America region or Australia is highly valued.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license is highly valued.
