Job Title: Strategic Programme Manager

Job Summary:

Talent Smart is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Programme Manager to lead our SAP programme management office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of complex SAP programmes and projects across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of complex SAP programmes, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and managing risks throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all SAP programme-related activities, coordinating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Oversee the Programme Management Office (PMO) for SAP projects, ensuring that PMO processes, methodologies, and standards are consistently applied.
  • Establish and enforce programme governance frameworks, ensuring that all projects adhere to best practices and organisational standards.
  • Monitor programme performance and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, risks, and issues.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners to understand programme objectives and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates in both Spanish and English.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to maintain programme momentum.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and skills to succeed.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team, encouraging a collaborative approach to programme management.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues related to SAP programmes, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as needed.
  • Proactively address potential roadblocks and challenges, ensuring that programmes stay on track and deliver expected outcomes.
  • Escalate critical risks and issues to senior management, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Continuously assess and improve PMO processes, tools, and templates to enhance programme delivery and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies, methodologies, and industry trends, applying relevant insights to improve programme outcomes.
  • Lead post-programme reviews, capturing lessons learned and implementing improvements for future initiatives.
  • Fluent communication in both Spanish and English, ensuring that all programme-related information is accurately conveyed to stakeholders in their preferred language.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, SAP Certification) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in programme management, with a focus on large-scale SAP implementations or optimisations.
  • Proven experience leading and managing PMOs, with a strong understanding of PMO processes, methodologies, and governance.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SAP and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, SAP Solution Manager).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
