About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Threat Intelligence Management team at Splunk. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions that support security analysts worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of our product architecture, usage patterns, and real-world use cases to identify solutions that bring value to our customers.
- Design, architect, and develop software, build new product features, and improve existing designs using Agile Methodologies.
- Support sprint management, collaborate with peers, managers, and other teams, and communicate effectively.
- Work closely with Product Management and team members to design and create comprehensive end-to-end user workflows.
- Ensure high product quality by utilizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) and testing technologies, and providing DevOps support for production services in our cloud infrastructure.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java or Python programming languages.
- 6-8+ years of related experience with a technical Bachelor's degree; or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience building and architecting web applications, services, and APIs.
- Experience with cloud service providers (AWS/GCP).
- Familiarity with streaming and distributed computing technologies such as Kafka.
- Exposure to working with container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes, Kubernetes Operator Framework).
- Knowledge of distributed computing architectures and principles that solve for scalability, performance, redundancy, and reliability.
- Experience with an Agile DevOps engineering environment that effectively uses CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and understand a wide variety of technical challenges.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare documentation and presentations.
