About the Role
We are seeking a talented and dedicated technical expert to join our cross-functional team as a Back End Software Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying software applications that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own software products from conception to operation, ensuring high-quality and customer-centric solutions.
- Support the team in delivering software development skills and capabilities across a whole domain.
- Develop resilient and high-performing cloud-native applications using AWS services and cloud design patterns.
- Work in a cloud environment, leveraging AWS services and tools to solve business and technical problems efficiently.
- Contribute to increasing automation and strive for a high degree of automation, clean architectures, and high quality.
- Translate ideas into outcomes and verbalize thoughts and ideas, working collaboratively with the team.
- Research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools with domain's Practice teams.
- Drive for technical excellence, ownership, and self-organisation, keeping up to date with the latest developments in your focus areas.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java and their respective eco-systems.
- Experience with data persistence (SQL/noSQL) and implementing resource-oriented APIs (REST, GraphQL).
- Expertise in cloud design, infrastructure as code, tools, and services on AWS.
- Motivated to dive into touristic requirements and their common data models.
- Well-experienced in Spring / Spring Boot and knowledge about OpenAPI and JSON Schema.
- Expertise in Event Driven Architecture like Apache Kafka or SNS.
- Familiar with agile Software Development like Scrum and Kanban.
- Good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI.
