We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics team at Flywire. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between Data Engineering and Reporting to enable our end users to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage our full dbt environment and related tooling to ensure efficient data materialization and latency optimization.
- Explore and implement additional tools to support the wider Analytics team, driving innovation and improvement.
- Productionalize complex logic and queries into gold standard datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Provide dbt support throughout the company, optimizing models for efficiency, clarity, and scalability.
- Remove and reduce technical debt, automating manual operations to improve data workflows.
- Treat data as a product, enforcing testing and CI to catch errors early and ensure data quality.
- Work with and support company-wide data science / AI initiatives, driving business value and insights.
- Become a subject matter expert to support all business segments, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Work with engineering and product teams to understand and model our event data, driving business outcomes.
- Drive change by identifying areas for improvement while analyzing data, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in an Analytics role, with strong proficiency in SQL and dbt.
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and git/CICD deployments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Docker, with experience with Elementary or Great Expectations preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to follow up in a timely manner.
- Experience with BI Tools (Looker or Preset) is a plus.
