About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Administrator to join our team at Alight Solutions. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our live SAP environments and onboarding new customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and plan SAP Basis tasks, including software installations, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Manage SAP BC operations, including client copies, system refreshes, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Perform basis maintenance and operations on all deployed SAP architecture components, including S/4HANA, EP, Java, BW, BO, PO, ECC, and SAP Content Server.
- Maintain documentation on SOPs and technical descriptions required for operations.
- Develop and improve operation, maintenance, and enhancement of installed virtualized systems.
- Collaborate with other technical teams, including Unix, Network, and SYS teams, to ensure seamless support for our customers.
- Share expertise with colleagues on specific technical domains.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering recommended.
- Experience with heterogeneous HANA migrations is a must.
- Experience with SAP PCE and Cloud environments, particularly Azure, is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience with SAP technology.
- Overall knowledge of SAP technology and underlying technology knowledge, including networking, databases, operating systems, Java, scripting, encryption tools, and security management.
- Fluent English.
