About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at BDR Thermea Group B.V. as an Indirect Procurement Specialist. This is a key role that will play a critical part in shaping our company's procurement strategy and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Sourcing Strategies: Contribute to the development of category sourcing strategies that align with our procurement policy and procedures.
  • Supplier Management: Own the supply strategy for the indirect category area, driving cost-down initiatives and establishing service level agreements with end-users and key stakeholders.
  • Procurement Process Improvement: Support the development of indirect procurement processes, contracts, and tools, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Sustainability and Ethics: Monitor supplier performance, enforce purchasing ethics, and promote sustainable supplier selection processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify stakeholder requirements, negotiate local or regional contracts, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Requirements
  • Team Working: Collaborate and communicate effectively across multi-functional matrix teams.
  • Negotiation: Prepare and apply negotiating tactics to achieve win-win commercial and non-commercial outcomes.
  • Supply Base Management: Segment the supply base to optimize resource investments, develop multi-location strategies, and gain buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Procurement Due Diligence: Ensure contracts are aware of relevant deliverables, timescales, costs, risks, sustainability plans, and other commitments.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, handle, analyze, and present various types of data, familiar with deployment and use of catalogues to reduce non-value add activity.
