About the Role

Travelport is a global travel retail platform, and we're looking for a skilled Senior Software Development Engineering Lead to join our team in Barcelona. As a Technical Lead, you'll be responsible for overseeing the development of our next-generation traveler self-service and itinerary platform, which is a key part of our company's strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical development of our platform, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and integrate JavaScript/React components in an agile environment, following best practices in cloud-based microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate with multiple Agile teams across the program to manage technical dependencies.
  • Perform frequent code reviews and apply BDD and TDD principles in the development cycle.
  • Participate in release activities and deployments, and contribute to the establishment and enforcement of standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on cloud-based microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and DevOps culture/practices.
  • Knowledge of software design best practices (SOLID, Patterns and antipatterns).
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and providing technical guidance to team members.
  • Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize within a continuously changing environment.
