Application Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our Application Security team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our applications and services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough application security reviews to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Design and implement secure architecture for our applications and services.
- Develop and maintain threat models to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into the development lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver security training and guidance to internal development teams.
- Develop and maintain security metrics and deliver insights to inform security decision-making.
- Assist with recruiting activities to identify and attract top security talent.
Our Application Security team is responsible for creating and maintaining a high bar for security across all of Amazon's products and services. - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Experience programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java,.Net, C++, or similar object-oriented language.
- Experience with any combination of the following: threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security.
