Job Title: Senior Data Engineer, Global Procurement Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Global Procurement Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing highly scalable and efficient database systems and pipelines to support process optimization in Procurement operations management, analytics, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of highly scalable and efficient database systems and pipelines.
  • Lead data integration projects and serve as a proxy for other engineering senior leaders.
  • Be an expert in the architecture of data warehousing products and utilize various technologies and tools.
  • Have strong analytical skills and excel in the modeling, creation, management, and enterprise use of large data sets.
  • Define the best design and development practices to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any data solutions and strive for efficiency by aligning data product initiatives with business goals.
Requirements:
  • Experience in data engineering.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
  • Experience mentoring team members on best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR.
