We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our Accounting Control team at Geotab Inc. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reports, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and tax laws.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure that our financial records and reporting are in compliance with all relevant requirements.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the finance team, as well as external auditors, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial reporting.
- Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, with a strong background in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Language: B2+ level of proficiency in German, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to problem-solve and make well-judged decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP systems and other financial software is an asset.
