Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Importante empresa. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for evaluating and selecting manufacturers and distributors for raw materials, as well as overseeing the processing of raw material payables and negotiating payment terms with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and Select Suppliers: Assess the quality, price, and delivery of raw materials from various suppliers, and recommend vendors for product evaluation and R&D qualification efforts.
- Manage Purchasing Operations: Supervise corporate purchasing personnel and plant buyers on special projects and purchases of inventoried materials, ensuring compliance with approved vendor lists and BaaN systems.
- Determine Inventory Levels: Collaborate with Plant Management to determine optimal reorder points and stocking levels of raw materials, containers, and purchased finished goods.
- Process Payables and Negotiate Terms: Oversee the processing of raw material payables and negotiate non-standard payment terms with vendors.
- Consolidate Purchases and Manage Supply Chain: Review requirements and consolidate purchases where possible, manage supply chain effectiveness, and modify order quantities based on cost, production levels, and inventory requirements.
- Set Cost Standards: Collaborate with Finance to set or oversee the setting of cost standards by Purchasing personnel for all inventoried materials.
- Manage Vendor Performance: Oversee the vendor On-Time-Delivery program and manage the Purchased Material Discrepancy Report.
- Participate in Procurement Team: Actively participate in the RPM Center Led Procurement Team actions to negotiate price and supply of materials for the company and RPM companies as required.
- Special Projects and Assignments: Perform special projects and assignments as directed by management.
- Compliance with Safety and Quality Programs: Comply with the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
- Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of the paint industry.
- Education: University Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in purchasing positions, with 2+ years of international purchasing experience.
- Technical Skills: Experience with ERP systems and excellent communication skills in English.
- Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation skills, strategy, customer-focused, and entrepreneurial mindset.
