Job Summary
As a Global Tax Strategist at Dufrys, you will play a critical role in developing and executing comprehensive tax planning strategies, internal restructuring, and transfer pricing initiatives on a group level. This position requires a strong analytical and conceptual skillset, paired with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels and across cultures.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize customs duties, taxes, and fees legally, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and leveraging suspensive regimes for cost savings.
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate customs documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance, and establish robust record-keeping processes to facilitate efficient audits and inquiries.
• Conduct regular internal audits to assess trade compliance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Generate reports on the utilization and performance of suspensive regimes, providing analysis and recommendations for optimization, and monitor changes in regulations and adjust suspensive regime strategies accordingly.
Requirements
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, paired with a high level of attention to detail and a solution-oriented way of working.
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels and across cultures.
• Strong ability to communicate technical tax concepts; fluency in English is a must, Spanish is an advantage.
• Proactive personality with the ability to work independently in a matrix organization.
• Excellent experience with tax software; knowledge of SAP is an asset.
