Tax Structure Strategist

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Structure Strategist to join our team at GoStudent. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing tax planning strategies aligned with the company's overall financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability
- Monitor and assess the impact of new and existing tax laws on the company's operations and financials
- Review and optimize the group's legal entity structure, contract setups, and flow of goods to identify and optimize VAT, CIT, and Commercial Tax
- Analyze service and cash flow arrangements to ensure tax efficiency and compliance
- Work closely with legal and financial teams to restructure entities and contracts as necessary
- Continuously seek new ways of working to make tax processes run smoother and faster
- Execute new and alternative ideas and approaches to enhance tax function efficiency
- Lead initiatives to automate and streamline tax processes using the company's existing tech stack
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support on complex transactions
- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and updates to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Collaborate with the finance team to address technical accounting issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tax accounting or related fields
- Strong knowledge of EU and country-specific tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in accounting software
- Strong communication skills in English and German, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
