Position Overview:
The HSE Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in upholding health and safety standards throughout various stages of the assigned projects, including construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Wind Farms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all personnel adhere to established safety protocols.
- Oversee the implementation of HSE plans and internal guidelines.
- Monitor HSE documentation to confirm that all personnel on site possess the required certifications, medical evaluations, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Review and validate all subcontractor documentation to grant access to the site.
- Supervise unloading and lifting operations to ensure safety compliance.
- Have the authority to halt any operation upon identifying serious or imminent hazards and report these risks to the responsible party.
- Conduct regular safety meetings to reinforce compliance with safety standards relevant to each task.
- Investigate incidents and coordinate HSE initiatives within the project area.
- Compile and submit comprehensive HSE reports.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated experience as an HSE Technician.
- Experience in projects related to Renewable Energy, Wind Farms, construction, and civil engineering.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
- Proven track record in managing HSE plans, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in supervising HSE matters and reviewing subcontractor documentation and permits.
- Familiarity with wind farm projects or similar scopes (GWO).
